Well...it has been one crazy, awesome, hectic, enjoyable, fast summers ever! Molly is growing like crazy. I still cant believe that she a 1 year old. She is one independent little thing....loves to do anything by herself. She is also a big manipulator already....she has the ability to walk, however she chooses not to when Ryan and I are present. ;) She is still a very entertaining and energetic little woman.
We have had a blast with her this summer taking her to IL to see my family, Michigan for a Whiteman reunion and then Colorado for the Schmalz family fun! While in IL Miss Molly and I rode the train into the city to see my good friend Rachy, Molly also got to ride the city bus as well as elevated train! She absolutely loved the city!!! (she gets it from her momma) She loved how busy it was and all the interesting things to look at. Of course Molly loves her time with Nan and Pops. Most of all she loved playing in Pop's new Mini! She also got to hang out with her Uncle Buck and Aunt Chelsie who had just rescued a crazy kitten which Molly just loved to watch run all over the place. In Michigan she loved all the interaction with the cousins and of course Grammy. That was a relaxing weekend just hanging out by the fire talking with family we hadn't seen in long time. There is just something about Grammy's house that relaxes us. Ryan says it is the disconnect from the outside world that he loves. ;)
Once we arrived home the very next weekend we had Molly's birthday party here in TN. This party opened ours eyes to how overwhelming blessed we are with the wonderful friends we have here. Molly had a great time and was loving all the attention she received. ;) My parents then came that next weekend for Molly's dedication at church and to babysit Miss Molly while I worked with RA training here on campus all week. The dedication service was awesome. Once again we are so blessed to have an amazing church family here.
School has started, fall ball starts tomorrow and I have started my Ed.S classes. This year already looks to be a crazy one however we like it that way for some reason! Molly's stomach issues have cleared up and she is doing much better in that department. Unfortunately she has been recently diagnosed with RAD (reactive airway disease). Which is a precursor for Asthma. Molly is currently too young to be diagnosed with Asthma therefore the RAD diagnosis is the most appropriate. She has been getting sick these past few months very easily. Ryan and I along with her doctors have been concerned about the number of times she has had antibiotic needed infections, and has not responded well to them. This past week she was diagnosed with her 5th ear infection in 4 months and then 3 days later she came down with a severe respiratory infection. After the sudden infection is when the doctor decided to diagnose her with RAD. He also has said that he sees Asthma being in her future along with allergies. They did some blood work to test for some broad allergens. We will receive those results this coming Monday. We have been advised to be very careful as to who comes into contact with Molly. We have to limit her interactions with anyone who maybe sick as well as school age children. Most importantly anyone who smokes. This is going to be quite the challenge due to Molly's love for everyone. Please keep our Molly in your prayers as we try to tackle allergy season and then cold and flu season. I will keep you all updated on her progress. I hope this new fall season upon us brings many blessings to you and your family.
